My wife and I have had numerous city tours all around the world. The tour guide on this trolley, Steve, was perhaps the very best one we have ever experienced. His narrative was interesting and his timing was superb for the entire 90 minutes.

The Trolley was full to capacity and very uncomfortable. Due to the rain and the heater they were blasting, the windows fogged instantly and despite wiping them with paper towels they couldn’t be cleared enough to see 99% of what was pointed out. Also the tour guide, decided we needed to know that he was God’s gift to the arts along with the history of Sarasota. We learned about each house he himself has lived in his whole life too!! If you enjoy hot, humid, uncomfortable tours where you can’t see anything and the tour guide talks about himself and makes terrible sexist jokes to boot…do this tour when it rains. The best part of the tour was the free water they gave.

Connie I’m sorry you did not enjoy our tour led by a native Sarasotan guide who adds a personal touch to his tours. It is high season here so all tours sell out every day as do restaurants, hotels and attractions. It’s going to be full everywhere which is what happens here until May. We are happy about it and try to accommodate all demand because we were decimated after the past two years. We have a brand new trolley and today was the first day it has driven in rain,. The driver should have turned the fan on which would have cleared any fog but other guests did not want that because they were cold so it’s hard to make everyone happy.

Absolutely enjoyed this trip. Jon and Jeff were totally entertaining and informative. They gave an excellent window into to the sights of Sarasota enabling us to return to some of the sights and restaurants they informed us about. It was a wonderful afternoon. Also the lady in the shop (sorry I forgot you name) was a delight to talk with
