Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

This was the first time I've ever done river rafting. The guide and personal were well versed in what they did within their roles. Would recommend this to other friends who are thinking about river rafting.

What an incredible afternoon, it was SO MUCH FUN! Kurt was our guide and was extremely knowledgeable, safety-conscious and entertaining. We were in the lead boat, so while we were waiting for others to get through some tricky rapids, there were some fun little extra things we got to do. Our whole family loved it (boys are 21, 19 & 17), it's been one of our favorite rafting trips. Small world, Kurt was friends with some guides we rafted with in Costa Rica. We did a lot of research before booking with Downstream, and SO glad we chose them. Our only wish is that it could've been much longer! Thanks also to your great photographer for capturing our smiles in the rapids. Thanks for lots of smiles on a fun and memorable trip!
