Crystal River
This tour is ALL about finding the best manatee spots and utilizing our clear kayaks to give you the best viewing possible without getting wet! Crystal River is known as the “Manatee Capital of the World.” On this tour, we want our guests to experience Manatees in their natural habitat. Crystal River is fed by dozens of natural springs, which makes it is a hotspot during Florida’s “colder” months. Between November and March, hundreds of manatees migrate inland to the springs to seek refuge and stay warm. We can’t control where they might be in the area, but our experienced guides will take you to where they are most active! While manatees are our main focus of this tour, we often see dolphins, fish, turtles, birds, and more! This 2-2.5 hour guided adventure includes a relaxed paddle through Kings Bay to Hunter Springs, Jurassic Springs, and beyond in Crystal River. Check this paddle off your manatee bucket list! We launch at Kings Bay Park located at: 268 NW 3rd St, Crystal River, FL 34428

Ryan C (not plain old Ryan) was an excellent guide. Very educational, personable and entertaining. Got to see a few manatee even though it was after manatee season. Small group of ten people in five kayaks, everyone was able to interact with Ryan C. I would recommend taking polarized sunglasses to help with vision while looking into the water.

We loved learning about the different areas we visited, the reconditioning of the shoreline, the behavior of the animals It was a beautiful day, and the water was amazingly clear. We saw a few manatees, some turtles, and sea birds Izzy was so personable- engaging and informing, and encouraging when I felt a little slow or weak. And with her higher stance on the paddle board, she was able to take and share some great photos to help us remember the experience.
