Rivière de cristal

Cette excursion consiste à trouver les meilleurs endroits pour les lamantins et à utiliser nos kayaks transparents pour vous offrir la meilleure vue possible sans vous mouiller ! Crystal River est connue comme la «capitale mondiale des lamantins». Lors de cette visite, nous voulons que nos invités découvrent les lamantins dans leur habitat naturel. Crystal River est alimentée par des dizaines de sources naturelles, ce qui en fait un point chaud pendant les mois « les plus froids » de la Floride. Entre novembre et mars, des centaines de lamantins migrent vers les sources pour chercher refuge et rester au chaud. Nous ne pouvons pas contrôler où ils pourraient se trouver dans la région, mais nos guides expérimentés vous emmèneront là où ils sont le plus actifs ! Alors que les lamantins sont notre objectif principal de cette visite, nous voyons souvent des dauphins, des poissons, des tortues, des oiseaux et bien plus encore ! Cette aventure guidée de 2 à 2,5 heures comprend une pagaie détendue à travers Kings Bay jusqu'à Hunter Springs, Jurassic Springs et au-delà à Crystal River. Shade was our tour guide he was absolutely awesome!!! Shade was very social with us and great at giving directions on the tour!! We had a great time and really enjoyed this experience!!

My family absolutely loved everything about this! From the clear kayaks to our guide Shade who was without a doubt the BEST, and the springs we can’t even begin to put into words how incredible it was! We all just wish we had more time to snorkel that day…

My best friend and I loved every single second of our adventure on Crystal River with Get Up And Go Kayaking. The tour guide (I believe his name was Mark) was knowledgeable, comical, and very kind. He made sure we all got into our kayaks safely and was helpful in getting in and out when the time arrived. The kayaks themselves were awesome, and we could see every bit of life below when we got into the sister springs. In our group however, there was an elderly couple who weren't entirely prepared for the kayaks and the moment they had trouble, Mark took care of them by tying their kayak to his and paddling both his own kayak, the weight of theirs, and the two passengers, without missing a single beat. He ensured their safety without compromising the quality, nor time, that we spent on Crystal River. The river itself is absolutely gorgeous, and protected properly. Such a beautiful part of nature that hasn't been destroyed by travelers, and I hope that fact remains. I would absolutely suggest that people interested in making the visit should be mindful both of protecting the beauty of the river, as well as mindful of their own abilities, because maneuvering the kayak is a workout. Nonetheless, I hope to return one day to this surreal bit of beauty that is tucked away. Ps- don't forget cash to tip the great tour guides like Mark, and do yourself a favor and bring sunscreen.
