Cette excursion consiste à trouver les meilleurs endroits pour les lamantins et à utiliser nos kayaks transparents pour vous offrir la meilleure vue possible sans vous mouiller ! Crystal River est connue comme la «capitale mondiale des lamantins». Lors de cette visite, nous voulons que nos invités découvrent les lamantins dans leur habitat naturel. Crystal River est alimentée par des dizaines de sources naturelles, ce qui en fait un point chaud pendant les mois « les plus froids » de la Floride. Entre novembre et mars, des centaines de lamantins migrent vers les sources pour chercher refuge et rester au chaud. Nous ne pouvons pas contrôler où ils pourraient se trouver dans la région, mais nos guides expérimentés vous emmèneront là où ils sont le plus actifs ! Alors que les lamantins sont notre objectif principal de cette visite, nous voyons souvent des dauphins, des poissons, des tortues, des oiseaux et bien plus encore ! I loved seeing the manatees where we launched and along the way to the lagoon area. Chris was very nice and informative! The swim in the Crystal lagoon was really special too! The water was like a dream!

The company and the guide did an outstanding job, but our party did not care for the clear kayaks. Visibility is not great through the bottom of the kayaks due to scratches from prior use, you sit farther down in the clear kayaks making it a little awkward when paddling. They reminded us of a cross between a canoe and a kayak. We packed a lot in the amount of time we were in Crystal River and this was our least favorite activity. We did enjoy ourselves but would not rent these again. Again, we had no complaints as far as the company and the guide are concerned just simply did not enjoy it enough to do it again-would however, rent from another company that supplies typical kayaks and different destinations. We signed up for the three sisters springs tour but it had to be switched to a manatee tour since manatee season was extended. Hind sight is 20/20 but we should have cancelled and simply gotten our money back rather than doing the manatee tour. We took the shuttle to three sisters springs that same morning and there were other kayak companies paddling to the springs and allowing the participants to get out and swim in. There were no manatees in the springs at the time, but we really wanted to see the springs from the water and there were other companies still offering this option.

Kimberly, thank you for the honest review! We wish we could have controlled manatee season and had a chance to get you into the springs. Private kayakers were allowed, but local businesses were not, which is why we had to accommodate accordingly. Due to the national pandemic, our routine kayak orders to replace them after a season have been delayed.
