Cette excursion consiste à trouver les meilleurs endroits pour les lamantins et à utiliser nos kayaks transparents pour vous offrir la meilleure vue possible sans vous mouiller ! Crystal River est connue comme la «capitale mondiale des lamantins». Lors de cette visite, nous voulons que nos invités découvrent les lamantins dans leur habitat naturel. Crystal River est alimentée par des dizaines de sources naturelles, ce qui en fait un point chaud pendant les mois « les plus froids » de la Floride. Entre novembre et mars, des centaines de lamantins migrent vers les sources pour chercher refuge et rester au chaud. Nous ne pouvons pas contrôler où ils pourraient se trouver dans la région, mais nos guides expérimentés vous emmèneront là où ils sont le plus actifs ! Alors que les lamantins sont notre objectif principal de cette visite, nous voyons souvent des dauphins, des poissons, des tortues, des oiseaux et bien plus encore ! The tour was marketed as a way to see the manatees, however, manatee season was mostly over when it was being booked and I was not made aware of that. We drove 2 hours expecting to see manatees and instead were told by the guides that we likely wouldn't see any since the season was over. It is possible we still would have done it, but it felt like false advertising and I had disappointed kids as a result which no parent ever wants. On a positive note, it was still fun to be on the water. The waterways were very crowded with many group tours from other tour operators, so just expect it to be kind of crowded since we went during a school break. Overall, I find these group kayak trips to be hit or miss. Sometimes the other guests are less experienced and it kind of holds you back. Also, sometimes the equipment is sort of beaten up and smelly. So, I expected this when I booked it.

We understand the disappointment of unmet expectations and apologize for that being the case for you and your family! Obviously, we cannot control wild animals or even the city's decision to determine when Manatee Season is and we do our best to inform our guests of that on our website through dates and descriptions. We simply try to provide a fun and safe kayak tour with great efforts to interact with manatees during the season. Hopefully we can try again in the future in the colder months when there is more of a chance to see manatees!
