Cette excursion consiste à trouver les meilleurs endroits pour les lamantins et à utiliser nos kayaks transparents pour vous offrir la meilleure vue possible sans vous mouiller ! Crystal River est connue comme la «capitale mondiale des lamantins». Lors de cette visite, nous voulons que nos invités découvrent les lamantins dans leur habitat naturel. Crystal River est alimentée par des dizaines de sources naturelles, ce qui en fait un point chaud pendant les mois « les plus froids » de la Floride. Entre novembre et mars, des centaines de lamantins migrent vers les sources pour chercher refuge et rester au chaud. Nous ne pouvons pas contrôler où ils pourraient se trouver dans la région, mais nos guides expérimentés vous emmèneront là où ils sont le plus actifs ! Alors que les lamantins sont notre objectif principal de cette visite, nous voyons souvent des dauphins, des poissons, des tortues, des oiseaux et bien plus encore ! This was a good day, however it was VERY VERY busy, and not anywhere really good to stop and enjoy… the photos looked like you would be kayaking down streams, rivers etc, but spent most of it on Crystal river (very busy with boats) until we got to 3 sisters, where we couldnt get out or park because of how congested it was…..

The clear kayaks are difficult to maneuver as they submerge much more than a traditional kayak. The seats are really uncomfortable, too. The wind was fierce the day we went, which made it even more arduous. Our launch site got changed last minute, we had to navigate through boats around a marina, and the 3 sisters area was overly crowded. Our guide was nice and professional.

We were super lucky to see manatees swimming around our kayaks this time of year. Would love to come back when they are in season. It was optional to get out and swim into three sisters springs or to kayak through. Seeing the manatees definitely made the trip worth it.
