Crystal River
This tour is ALL about finding the best manatee spots and utilizing our clear kayaks to give you the best viewing possible without getting wet! Crystal River is known as the “Manatee Capital of the World.” On this tour, we want our guests to experience Manatees in their natural habitat. Crystal River is fed by dozens of natural springs, which makes it is a hotspot during Florida’s “colder” months. Between November and March, hundreds of manatees migrate inland to the springs to seek refuge and stay warm. We can’t control where they might be in the area, but our experienced guides will take you to where they are most active! While manatees are our main focus of this tour, we often see dolphins, fish, turtles, birds, and more! This 2-2.5 hour guided adventure includes a relaxed paddle through Kings Bay to Hunter Springs, Jurassic Springs, and beyond in Crystal River. Check this paddle off your manatee bucket list! We launch at Kings Bay Park located at: 268 NW 3rd St, Crystal River, FL 34428

We enjoyed our kayaking experience. We were able to see 2 manatees up close during our trip. Our guide Hunter, was great! He made our trip a “splashing “ good time! He was very knowledgeable about the River and pointed out many natural features and wildlife.

Tour was fun; our guide was great. Very helpful and funny. Just... do not expect to kayak in blue, tropical looking water in pretty coves with shade trees. But we had fun anyway! Tour was 3 hours and we saw 2 manatees. Weather was perfect, slight breeze. We enjoyed kayaking very much.

Thank you for this review! Did you paddle with the Crystal River location? Our tour is only two hours long and we do paddle to clear blue water where the springs are located. We just want to be sure this review is showcasing the correct tour! You may want to check out our Three Sisters Springs tour that does enter a cove of tropical paradise. Consider paddling with us after April 1! Either way, if you paddled with get up and go kayaking, we are glad you enjoyed the guide and weather and manatees. Thanks again!

Clear bottom boat was very uncomfortable, hard to row. Like sitting in a bathtub. Would not recommend them. Couldn't see through the bottom anyway. Regular kayak would be better. Don't go when hot no manatees.

Oh no! This definitely not what we want to hear. We try our best to illustrate what our kayaks will be like on the tour through photos and the listing on our site, so we apologize that your expectations were not met. We did give you a call and received more context and helpful feedback. We are confident that future guests will not have the same experience!
