Rivière de cristal

Cette excursion consiste à trouver les meilleurs endroits pour les lamantins et à utiliser nos kayaks transparents pour vous offrir la meilleure vue possible sans vous mouiller ! Crystal River est connue comme la «capitale mondiale des lamantins». Lors de cette visite, nous voulons que nos invités découvrent les lamantins dans leur habitat naturel. Crystal River est alimentée par des dizaines de sources naturelles, ce qui en fait un point chaud pendant les mois « les plus froids » de la Floride. Entre novembre et mars, des centaines de lamantins migrent vers les sources pour chercher refuge et rester au chaud. Nous ne pouvons pas contrôler où ils pourraient se trouver dans la région, mais nos guides expérimentés vous emmèneront là où ils sont le plus actifs ! Alors que les lamantins sont notre objectif principal de cette visite, nous voyons souvent des dauphins, des poissons, des tortues, des oiseaux et bien plus encore ! Cette aventure guidée de 2 à 2,5 heures comprend une pagaie détendue à travers Kings Bay jusqu'à Hunter Springs, Jurassic Springs et au-delà à Crystal River. Our guide Lacey was lovely and knowledgeable. We were able to see 2 manatees even during a very warm spell. The facilities however are virtually non existent. I would imagine the city is responsible for what they call restrooms, which were dirty and partially non functional. Since there are several tour operators that charge a lot of money there, they should step up and provide some facilities for their customers. Multiple tours daily by each operator with dozens, if not hundreds of customers, I dont think a somewhat clean place to change with more than one working women's toilet it too much to ask. So kudos to our guide Lacey, no kudos for the company or facilities.

Get Up and Go Kayaking in Crystal River simply pays to operate out of this park, we are not responsible for the conditions of anything except the corral that we utilize. We hope that anyone reading this will know that this review is mostly regarding the park rather than the tour itself. Chris was our guide and he was awesome. I was solo and he offered to allow me to join him tandem. Since this was my first time in a ‘glass’ bottom boat, I decided to accept and am so glad I did. The tour started in King’s Bay, we paddled the Crystal River and went to the Three Sisters spring. There were so, so many manatees, it was magical.

Lacy was a fantastic guide! She provided an informative, safe and fun manatee experience! We even saw a mom and calf! Lacy took the time to share other local wildlife information and spoke about the local history of the bay.
