I have visited CW several times before. I wanted my new husband to experience the wonder of CW. However, this visit was extremely disappointing. It is possible due to the covid distance restrictions and limited number of employees available, we could not enjoy many of the attractions such as:
Carriage Ride: Sold out
Dinner at the Kings Arm Tavern: Booked solid
Museum Murder Mystery: Sold out
Restaurants at the Merchant Square had almost TWO hour wait times.
We were advised to make reservations & purchase tickets "well in advance." It was truly annoying to arrive (after plenty of walking) at these places only to be disappointed and turned away. I didn't dare attempt the "Haunted Williamsburg tour," fearing it was either sold out or booked solid. It was not appealing or convenient to eat dinner elsewhere & return later to possibly find the tour unavailable. As I mentioned, do your research, plan ahead, purchase tickets in advance, and most of all have plenty of patience & cash when visiting CW. Good Luck. (Sadly, I will probably never visit again.)
