Vista House
Typically, our first stop for the day is the Crown Point Vista House. This famous overlook sits 733 feet above the Columbia River, atop the remains of a lava flow that swept through the Gorge around 14 to 17 million years ago! Here, we will find amazing 180-degree views of the Columbia River Gorge and explore the Vista House. An intricately designed observatory and museum, the Vista House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

We end our tour back at Director Park, our central drop off location in the heart of Downtown Portland.
64
Directeur Parc

Our guide Clinton was great very informative, he even show us different leaves and fruits to eat along our walks . The car ride was very comfortable and he talked and entertain us during traffic , I would give this tour a full five star rating however I would like to have longer visit times . Each stop was 20 minutes or less minus the Multnomah falls ( 30) min with calculated foot traffic ( Fourth if July week) , bathroom lines and pictures I didn’t get to really enjoy the view. It felt more five minutes of each stop, other then that it was a good tour .

This was an enjoyable way to spend the morning, and see some really amazing waterfalls. I could have driven myself but opted not to rent a car in Portland since they have a pretty amazing public transit system. The advantage of the tour is that you don't have to worry about driving and hunting for a parking space at any of the falls.....which can be quite challenging in the Summer. The shuttle vans are mid-sized so there's not a huge crowd like there would be on a bus, and pickup from area hotels is efficient and convenient. We also went to the Vista House which gives you a pretty spectacular, and panoramic view of the whole Columbia Gorge. The tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. It's well worth the money if you want to get out of the city for a half day.

I had a fantastic afternoon tour led by our tour guide Deana. She is a knowledgeable energetic fun lady. We spent 4+ hours toured Vista House At Crown Point Latourell Falls Multnomah Falls Horsetail Falls and Bonneville Fish Hatchery. Along the way, she shared with us the history of the highway, the region, and each sightseeing point. She also introduced us local gourmet restaurants and other local attractions for the days we stay in Portland, such as political protest event, concert event, and naked bike ride event for the weekend we stayed in Portland. A tour group is always not more than 12 persons for Wildwood Adventures. This made the grouping easy and fast during the tour. At the end, our small group of tourists became friend to each other.
