Notre première cascade de la journée sera les spectaculaires chutes Latourell qui plongent à 249 pieds au-dessus d'un mur massif de basalte colonnaire. Selon la saison, une courte randonnée de ¼ de mile sera menée pour avoir une vue plus proche des chutes.

Chutes de Multnomah
La prochaine cascade que nous visiterons sera les célèbres chutes de Multnomah. S'effondrant de 620 pieds en deux étapes majeures, les chutes de Multnomah sont la plus haute chute d'eau de l'Oregon et la deuxième plus haute du pays ! Ici, nous pouvons explorer le Multnomah Falls Historic Lodge (un lodge en pierre et en bois de style cascadien construit en 1925) ainsi que les magnifiques chutes de Multnomah elles-mêmes. La plate-forme d'observation facilement accessible offre une vue complète du pont Benson et des chutes en cascade au-delà.

I am not a touristy kinda person but wanted to experience the natural beauty of Oregon and its renowned and historical Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls. I booked this trip for me and my daughter who connected in Portland from NJ and San Francisco for a fun Mother/Daughter weekend. I must say this adventure was a major highlight of our time together. We had the good fortune of having Aaron as our tour guide. In a word, Aaron is magnificent. His extraordinary depth of knowledge, fascinating perspectives, thoughtfulness and sense of humor combined to make this a most memorable and exhilarating experience. The sights, from beginning to end are simply breathtaking. Word to the wise: Do Not Miss!

I was really looking forward to this waterfalls tour on the last day of my Portland trip. It was one of the things, in additional to my food tour the previous day, that I had as the highlights for my vacation. Unfortunately, the trip was cut short because of an injury. I was the first to be picked up by the van, and then we made the rounds to get the rest of the group. We had roughly a 30 minute drive up to the first stop, which was the gouge I believe. The views were incredible and post card worthy. The tour guide was very friendly and informative along the way, which helped time on the long drive pass fairly quickly. However, once we had gotten to the stop one of the guests was blown over by the wind or something to that effect, twisting and breaking her ankle or leg. I do not recall what was the actual injury, but the end result was the tour had to be cut short so we could get her to the hospital. They originally offered a discount on a reschedule for a future tour, then a full reschedule/refund (guide had to get permission from home office I guess?). I was leaving town the next day, so I could not do a reschedule sadly, but they did issue a quick refund to my credit card. I received it while we were still at the gouge before heading back to town. This is a very professional outfit with water, snacks, and a professional knowledgeable guide. I will look to reschedule my tour(s) upon returning trip to Portland.

We wanted to let you know that the guest ended up with a dislocated ankle, rather than the originally feared broken ankle. Due to the inconvenience of the group, we did immediately offer full refunds AND a complimentary rescheduled tour for all those that were impacted on this tour. Outstanding! Aaron and Malloy were fantastic as they guided us for four hours of waterfalls, scenery, and a historic fish hatchery. Their love of Portland and its surrounding natural wonders came through with their deep knowledge of the sites. They were also very helpful in identifying local lunch and dinner spots for us to enjoy later during our weekend in Portland. We highly recommend this tour and if you're lucky you'll get one of these guides!
