64
Directeur Parc

I booked a small group tour to see the waterfalls, and it was an absolute highlight of my trip to Portland. It was just me and a family of four in the van. I don't love tours with big groups, so this was perfect. The van was very comfortable and plenty spacious. Our guide, Sam, was the absolute best. She was so upbeat, filled with fun facts about the areas we were seeing, and showed such genuine enthusiasm for all the locations we visited. She offered to take pictures, she had umbrellas, water, and all manner of supplies on hand, and she had lots of recommendations for things to do locally. After our tour, I ordered a Yolko Ono from the Fried Egg I'm in Love food truck on her recommendation, and it was one of the best things I ate on my entire trip. Sam was awesome! The waterfalls were super impressive. I felt we had enough time at each stop to appreciate them, as well. We also went to a fish hatchery that was way more interesting than I'd imagined it would be. Halfway through the trip, it got rainy and windy, but it didn't dampen (ha ha) our enthusiasm at all. The falls are gorgeous in the rain, too! I do recommend bringing rain gear just in case. I might have enjoyed it less without a rain jacket and appropriate footwear. Overall, I'm so glad I booked this tour, and so glad Sam was the one to lead it. She's a gem. I will absolutely do another Wildwood tour the next time I'm in the Portland area.

It was a very rainy Monday when our tour was scheduled. My family and I had a bit of dread until we met our tour guide Sam. Right from the beginning she was very positive, kind, helpful, fun and full of knowledge. The views were amazing and Sam tried to keep us as dry as possible with rain ponchos and umbrellas. She even gave us a few extra for another tour we had scheduled. She also helped in picture taking and let us wonder but kept on schedule. The van was comfortable and throughout the drive, there was always something interesting to look at. It was an amazing experience even with the rain. Definitely go on the bridge, drink out of the bubbler and enjoy the fresh smells. Also, where else can you use a million dollar bathroom surrounded by beauty. Thank Sam!!
