Excursion en kayak bioluminescent en gelée de peigne

Aperçu
In the cooler Florida months, bioluminescent Comb Jellies congregate in the protected waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Living in the most bio-diverse estuary in North America, Comb Jellies are clear, glob-like creatures that, despite their name, do not sting! So as you paddle the calm waters laced with mangroves and palm trees, you can catch and hold these gentle glowing creatures. They're right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for new and unique experiences.

In addition to the stars, the myriad of protected wildlife around you, and the Comb Jelly’s bioluminescence, their “ribs” are lined with cilia that they use to propel themselves, so when you cast a flashlight on them just right, they’ll also refract a dynamic rainbow-y light show! They’re right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for unique experiences.

My 24 year old daughter and I booked this tour as something different to do while she was visiting. Our guides, Chad and Robert, were fantastic. They both took time to answer every question we add and to impart their wisdom about the Indian River. The guides were great about not making us feel bad for paddling slow :) The tour we did was the Comb Jelly Bioluminescent Kayak tour however I will be booking the Dinoflagellate Bioluminescence Tour this summer. If I could impart only ONE piece of advise, it would be this: DO NOT FORGET YOUR BUG SPRAY! In fact, lather it on like sunscreen. We did not pay attention to this valuable advise from their website and ended up with more than 60 bites each on our legs and faces (we did wear jackets to cover our arms and necks but literally any other part that didn't have clothing was bitten - including our faces). This, however, will not stop me from booking this amazing experience again. It was totally worth it!
