La visite se dirige vers Crystal River, où vous pourrez faire de la plongée avec tuba - nager dans les rivières où vivent des lamantins sauvages. C'est un départ tôt le matin, alors apportez des collations pour le petit-déjeuner à manger pendant le voyage.

Après un briefing sur la sécurité et en récupérant votre masque, votre tuba et vos palmes (la location de combinaisons coûte 15 $ et est requise pour les nageurs), vous montez à bord du bateau. Vous n'êtes pas obligé de nager ou de faire de la plongée avec tuba, vous pouvez choisir de profiter de la promenade en bateau à la recherche de la nature seule si vous préférez.

Lorsque des lamantins sont repérés, vous pouvez entrer dans la rivière si vous le souhaitez, prenez de superbes photos.

Dans l'après-midi, explorez le parc d'État d'Homosassa. Le parc abrite de nombreuses espèces d'animaux sauvages indigènes qui ont été sauvées. Vous êtes là à l'heure du déjeuner, vous pouvez donc choisir de l'acheter au café du parc ou de vous apporter un pique-nique si vous préférez. Une vraie journée en Floride !

Les lamantins sont en voie de disparition et viennent aux sources de Floride toute l'année pour trouver un abri et de la nourriture. Pendant les mois d'hiver, la population de lamantins peut atteindre plusieurs centaines et pendant l'été, le nombre moyen est de 80. Ce sont de "gentils géants" et n'ont pas de dents. Après votre croisière, vous vous dirigez vers Homosassa State Wildlife Park, célèbre dans toute la Floride pour la réhabilitation des animaux blessés. C'est ici que vous aurez la chance de voir les résidents actuels de lamantins du parc lors d'une séance d'alimentation informative et divertissante avec l'un des gardes du parc. Vous verrez également des ours, des panthères, des alligators et même un hippopotame en explorant le reste du parc. Le transport aller-retour depuis la région d'Orlando et un chauffeur-guide expérimenté sont également inclus.

I would highly recommend taking a full day on this excursion. What a blast! The guides were top notch, and were able to locate a female manatee and her baby. With snorkeling equipment we were able to observe the manatees in their natural habitat. This item can now be taken off of my bucket list.

Neither breakfast nor lunch were included even though my confirmation email says they were. The bus company demanded cash for the wetsuits even though they did not provide them. The boat company said wetsuits were included in the price of the ticket, but the shuttle driver said no and harassed me until I paid him cash. When I explained I didn’t have cash with me, he said he would take a picture of my credit card. The whole trip was one bad experience after another and no one from any company knew what was going on.

Good Morning JackierA1201AV, We are sorry you didn’t think the package was good value. There are 2 package options available for purchase on the TripAdvisor website, one package retails for $99 and doesn’t include food, the other is $119 and does include food. Neither tour package includes the wetsuit, this is always payable to the tour driver not the dive shop as Gray Line pays the dive shop all their fees. We pay for the boat rides, masks, snorkel, fins, and wetsuits were necessary within our contract with American Pro Divers. You booked the package for $99 that doesn’t include any food. The voucher notes breakfast and lunch included if option purchased. Your package included all Transportion (over 7 hours of driving total), boat ride down the river for snorkeling including mask, snorkel and fins, as well as admission to the Homosassa State Park - all for $99! If you would have tried to purchase these things separately it would have cost you a lot more money. As you choose to purchase the value package price, it doesn’t include food. This is the best value package for a tour from Central Florida up to the river and it is put together for guests that are more price sensitive and wish to pay their own meals for budgeting purposes. We are sorry you didn’t enjoy the value package, it sounds like the all inclusive package would have been a better option for you to have the food prepaid and included. I hope you enjoyed your time on the bot and snorkeling with the manatees, as well as your visit to the state park! I will speak with TripAdvisor to ensure thr packages are very clearly defined for future travelers and that people are clear that the $99 package does not include food. Our guide was very knowledgeable and actually seemed like he cared about giving us an opportunity at swimming with manatees . We got to swim with one for about 20 minutes and spent around a hour I would say on the boat . The diner was good after words and the park after that was also awesome we got to watch them feed the manatees and there was plenty of animals to see being hippos , alligators , bears etc it was cool to see the manatees up close again! Our driver through grey line , Ishmael was prompt and knew all the answers to questions we had . He seemed also like he cared about us making the most out of our day , overall I recommend this tour 100% It is a good way to have a slow paced relaxing day with still doing something different . Truly once in a life time
