Come on our thrilling, top-rated Haunted Pub Crawl tour presented by US Ghost Adventures!

Join us and visit some of the most notable watering holes in the city of Washington DC, where politicians came to relax after a busy day of lawmaking. The only catch is that most of these politicians have long since departed this life. On select nights, come have a few sips of local spirits while hearing about the city's local haunted Spirits and while exploring the beautiful streets of DC. Join us on the new Spirits of DC Haunted Pub Crawl and visit the city’s historic haunts and ghostly pubs and enjoy booze and Boo's at some of its most infamous paranormal and tipsy hotspots.

John was a passionate storyteller and very accommodating. We stopped at 3 pubs and had excellent drinks. Our group was small at 6 people which I thought was the perfect size. It was mostly storytelling, not so much “haunted”. The downfall of the night was there were no prior arrangements made at the pubs we visited. We just showed up and were actually kicked out at our first stop. Pretty embarrassing. It could have been avoided if reservations or arrangements were made prior.

First and foremost John was great. He knew his stuff, rolled with a ton of punches, and was entertaining. As a DC-ite I learned a lot which is what I look for on tours like this. That said, DC Ghosts has A LOT of work to do. Our tour group for Boos and Booze was massive, so big that we weren’t allowed in to a lot of bars on a Saturday night. Half of the lure of the tour was a haunted pub crawl and I wouldn’t call it that with how few bars we actually saw. I got one drink during the entire experience at the first bar and the second bar that was willing to serve us was at the end. By the time the server came around at the second bar the tour was over and my family wasn’t interested in sticking around. The tour group had to split up to go into the first bar to get drinks and then come back out to the lobby where John was telling the stories. I missed a bunch of interesting stories at the InterContinental because of this. The group was so big it also made it hard to hear in some places, like the hotel lobby. DC Ghosts should either cap the Boos and Booze experience to about 10 people (not the nearly 20 that we had) and have reservations for tour groups at the bars or not sell a haunted pub crawl. I had such high hopes for it but the logistics made it hard to enjoy at times and I felt bad for my family who were visiting that I chose this tour for them.

Sarah, thank you for your honest feedback about our pub crawl. We see that you joined us last year, and we've made great progress with this experience since then. Our guests have given us great feedback about the tour, and we've ironed out some of the issues. In any case, we understand your frustration--though we're glad to hear that John still provided a fun and entertaining time for you. We hope to see you again and make this experience up to you--either here in DC, or on another one of our pub crawls all over the country with US Ghost Adventures.

We had such a great time! John was very theatrical and overall made every story interesting and fascinating to listen to. He takes you through some of the most beautiful hotels/bars and every drink makes the experience even more fun! Highly recommend! It’s a lot of fun to hear some local ghost stories and to see some beautiful sites.
