Shepherd's Adventure Park
See where tourism REALLY began in Branson. The catalyst of tourism to Branson, was due to the worldwide success of the book, "Shepherd of the Hills" by Harold Bell Wright. This stop is literally the property that the book was written and written about! (It's also a restroom stop! Hehe!)
22
Hollister
You will love this quaint little Old English Village, with its Tudor style architecture, fun shops, galleries and restaurants. Find out how the railroad "turned this town around!" The Downing Street District is a place you will want to return to for some unique shopping and dining options!
23
Branson
Downtown Branson, on the shores of Lake Taneycomo, is where Reuben Branson and his wife, Mary, built the Branson General Store, around 1881, and the town had been growing and changing ever since. You will see several shops and restaurants in the historic downtown district. Like Hollister, this is a place you will want to come back to after the tour is over. No franchise restaurants or retail shops in this district. However, Branson Landing Mall, is just down the hill and across the railroad tracks. So you can shop old and new!

the ozark collage and its details was something I thought was interesting and something I would not have done on my own. Most of the other sites , If you have a car, can be seen on your own. The bus leaked ,so groups could not be seated togerther, and the driver really seemed bored with his job.

Adrienne, Thank you for touring with us. Very sorry that you were not extremely happy with the tour. Local touring isn't just about what you see, but also what you learn. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your review. Anything less than five-star reviews keeps us humble and trying harder.

I read some of the reviews before booking. One said the tour didn't show you anything you couldn't drive to yourself. That's true and truth be told, my husband and I already had driven to most of the places on the van tour route while on we were on previous trips to the area. However, we certainly had not heard all the stories and history before, which is what the tour guide provided. For us, the point of the tour was not just to drive around. It was to learn something about the area in an entertaining and interesting way while at the same time, looking at the scenery. Well worth our time. And the communication from the office before our tour began was first rate. Thanks, guys!

Sheryl, what an excellent review. Thank you so much for choosing to tour with us even after reading other reviews and having driven the route previously on your own. You are so correct. Local touring is more about or at least as much about what you learn as to just what you see. Thank you for the five-star review!

College of the Ozarks, history of area, park free in downtown Branson. Recommendation-speak more clearly and have a bit more room in van
