Hawaii Hoverboarding Tours
Your 1-hour 45 minute hoverboarding adventure starts when you make your way to the front of the Honolulu Zoo in Waikiki and meet your local guide. After safety instructions and a little practice, your hoverboard will become an extension of you to effortlessly explore the island on. Pop in your wireless one-ear audio receiver to hear from your expert guide and listen to nostalgic Hawaiian music as you hover through Waikiki. Since you'll start at Kapiolani Park, you'll first learn to recognize some of the most popular island trees such as exceptional Indian Banyan, Rainbow Shower, Monkeypod, Ironwood, Plumeria, Coconut Palm, and more. We take in the impressive ocean views while learning about ancient Hawaiian and modern surfing on Oahu, known as the 'birthplace of surfing'. Peek inside the Waikiki neoclassical War Memorial and Natatorium, then glide over the sand along a palm tree-lined walkway to a local favorite Kaimana San Souci Beach. Take in the charming historic cottages and multi-million dollar mansions in the Gold Coast while learning about the architecture and real estate development of Hawaii. You'll stop at a secret beach and we'll point out nearly hidden bunkers from Diamond Head's military history. Heading back, we'll listen to nostalgic tiki pop culture comedy songs, ride through an Indian banyan that is over a century old, and learn about Hawaii's first and last king's. Try to guess Hawaii filmed movies and TV shows from their soundtracks while riding under a canopy of exceptional monkeypod trees.

We had used Hawaii Hoverboarding Tours on a previous trip to Hawaii, and wanted to give them repeat business. It appeared that the original company has sold out, and the new company did not live up to our expectations. 1.) Upon arrival we were told our booking was for the next day, it took at least45 minutes to get this sort and on our way. After the tour I sent the company my reservation for the date we arrived and had no response. 2.) On our previous tour there was a cool audio of what we were seeing as we rode past. This was not the case with the new company. 3) When we stopped the guide barely spoke to us, and certainly did not share any info about the area. He took one picture of our group and never forwarded it to us as promised. 4.) We asked to pick up the pace of the tour as he was going really slow. Our request was ignored, probably because the unit he was riding was incapable to increasing speed. Disappointing as riding Segways is one of our favorite ways to tour a big city. Will be looking for a new company on our return trip in June. Hate to write a negative review but it was not what we signed up for.

How much fun are these things. Thanks Steve from Hawaii Hoverboarding Tours for a fun and informative tour and instructing a couple of complete novices to be competent riders within minutes. If you can stand upright you will be able to ride one of these Segways. Within minutes I was slaloming between the palm trees with no damage to man or machine.

We highly recommend this tour. This was our 1st time on a tour like this and we had the best time. It is such a fun way to get around and you get to learn some history at the same time. Steve is a fantastic tour guide. We would definitely do this again.
