Encounter spinner dolphins from onboard and observe sea turtles during this half-day boat excursion from Kailua-Kona. A professional captain and crew greet you aboard a 43 ft Zodiac-style vessel at Honokohau Harbor and take you to explore Kona's beautiful coral reefs filled with tropical fish and other marine life. BBQ hot dogs or veggie dogs are included along with snacks and drinks.

IMPORTANT: On this tour, we used to snorkel with the wild dolphins. As of 2021 The Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) is now being enforced and swimming with wild dolphins is now considered harassment. We will still be able to go encounter the dolphins at a safe distance but will not be able to enter the water with them.

We recently went on the dolphin snorkel excursion with Kris as our tour guide and had an excellent time. It was a small intimate group of 6 which was perfect, so we could take our time and Kris catered the tour to our liking. We were able to snorkel with the spinner dolphins first in a different bay and then headed to Kealakekua Bay for more snorkeling. Kris allowed us to snorkel for a long time, and on the boat ride back, he gave us some more history of the island. We also were able to see some lava caves/tubes from the boat while munching on a light lunch which consisted of deli wraps, fresh pineapple, chips, cookies and beverages. The whole experience was really nice and Kris was also really great with my 7 and 10 year old kids. We've been on many different excursions over the years, and we can honestly say, he is the best tour guide we've encountered- very professional, welcoming, and hospitable.

Wow thanks for the spectacular review! Swimming with the wild dolphins is one of my personal favorites also. The dolphin reef snorkel really is a spectacular trip and Captain Kris really is the icing on the cake. So glad you promoted him BEST TOUR GUIDE EVER! He will be so excited to read this.

Really nice crew and overall experience. Was able to see dolphins, and the amazing life on the coral reef. Even saw a reef shark! Definitely recommend

We took the Dolphin snorkel trip in July with Captain Kris, and we were thrilled throughout the journey. Captain Kris was professional, entertaining and found us 3 pods of spinner dolphins to snorkel with. It was a terrific experience and Captain Kris and the C Big Island was wonderful to work with. Thanks!!!!
