Our walking pizza tour experience was fantastic. There were just the two of us and our guide Jon. Jon had a great knowledge of pizza, each restaurant and the owners, plus some great historical facts about the neighborhoods we visited. The pizza was awesome. Great first day experience in Chicago! I recommend this tour to everyone!

We did the Walking Tour which was led by Chicago Pizza Tours founder, Jonathan. One of the best tourist experiences we’ve ever had. What a great way to see the city and get to taste the magic of (arguably*) the greatest pizza city in the world. Jonathan is a self-confessed pizza nerd and so wonderfully knowledgeable about the history of pizza in Chicago! We hit 4 different pizzerias on a Monday afternoon sampling the different tastes and styles. It was entertaining, informative, and delicious! We talked to the chefs, we learned their methods, we learned how their passion for pizza led them to perfect the pies they serve to this great city! If you love pizza and you’re in Chicago, take this tour. If you love Chicago and like pizza, take this tour! If you love food and the evolution of different cuisines, take this tour. Just TAKE THIS TOUR! Amazing!!! * Okay, it’s clearly New York but Chicago is in the conversation.

This tour was definitely more than what I expected! The guide was a complete sweetheart and yes this may be his job of XX amount of years but I couldn't get over how knowledge he was. It didn't feel like you were sitting in a history class but it was enough information to make this tour more than just tasting slices and moving on. The time flew, our crowd was so diverse with people joining us from all around the country! We were celebrating my boyfriend's 30th and everyone was so welcoming and in a celebratory mood! A great experience for a travel and speaking as someone who resides in the suburbs of Illinois, this tour's a must try!!
