This tour is just a short walk through great Chicago neighborhoods starting near Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile, and then heading into the Gold Coast & River North. Compare two American pizzas vs. two Italian pizzas to understand how pizza evolved as an immigrant food. Explore Deep Dish, Roman, Neapolitan, and Artisanal pizza in just a couple of hours. Discuss how each of these styles is crafted and the differences in their ingredients, baking techniques, and ovens. Plenty of pizza to eat, come hungry!

We will spend a good portion of our time walking through River North exploring different pizzerias.

The Loop

We will explore more pizzerias on the other side of the River in the downtown Chicago Loop

The Magnificent Mile

We will explore pizzas on Chicago's Magnificent Mile

Navy Pier

We start our tour just outside of Navy Pier on the Chicago River

Holy Name Cathedral

We will walk past Holy Name Cathedral after one of our pizza stops.

WOW! WOW ! WOW! I have been on this tour 3 times. Jon knows pizza! - Chicago or the USA. All the pizza styles on the tour are excellent. Post tour, we have always debated which was best and never had a consensus because they are all great... Only suggestion is to add a gelato stop; BUT, one would need a huge appetite. Thanks!
