I took my dad, along with the rest of my family of 5 adults, on a "Big Shoulders Chicago Pizza Walking Tour" to celebrate Father's Day. However, the weather forecast for that day was predicting severe storms--not good for a walking tour! Just as I was trying to figure out which combination of raincoats and umbrellas to bring, I received a text from Jon saying that he had procured a van for us to ride in instead of walking. It ended up not raining much after all, but if it had, the van would have turned a miserable experience into a very comfortable one. The tour itself took us to four different pizza restaurants in the Streeterville, Magnificent Mile, and River North neighborhoods of the city. Each one was different, so we got to experience first hand the diversity of pizza styles in this city known for pizza. Of course, the pizzas were delicious (I really wanted to eat more but I felt like I needed to pace myself so I could enjoy all of them!) and Jon was very knowledgeable. Our family of Chicago suburbanites had a blast and we would love to do this tour again, maybe when we have guests from out-of-town and want to give them a Chicago experience. Thank you so much!
