The food tour was excellent and helped me get the lay of the land at the beginning of my trip. We met at Marco’s Coal Fired where we had a slice of margherita pizza, it was delicious. We then walked over to Lazo Empanada, at this location we got to sample the ground beef empanada and it was very flavorful, one of the ingredients was raisins and it reminded me of sweet corn. The third location we walked to was my absolute favorite, Biker Jim’s. At Biker Jim’s I got to try elk sausage for the very first time and it was tasty, definitely a new favorite. The last location we sampled food at was a restaurant called Kachina. I personally was not a fan of the replacement of the tortilla in this dish but it was not bad, I just prefer to have my tacos with tortillas. Overall, the tour guide, Barry, made this trip very memorable, he was very informative and made funny jokes throughout his time speaking with us.
