Had a great day rafting through Durango. Never been rafting before, so I can’t really comment on the river, but the staff was awesome. Our guide Patty is an expert rock-dodger and first-class fun seeker. We had a great time floating down the Animas and chatting about restaurants in town.

Something about running rivers definitely gets you thinking about food! The Animas River has many faces and the run in town is family and beginner friendly while the river north of town has world class challenging level 4 and level 5 whitewater! For more action on the family friendly stretch, try and inflatable kayak. Thanks for the review, Cheers!

The staff was amazing! Patti (our guide) had us go through the rocks easily and had us do a surf against the water at one point. Shannon kept us having fun on the ride to and from the meeting area. If we go back to Colorado we'll definitely try to be "duckies" next time! :-) Thanks for the great experience!

Quick trip to Durango for our 26th wedding anniversary had us booking a half-day on the lower Animas. We rafted the upper Piedra with MWR last June so our expectations for the lower Animas was of a quiet float. We were delighted with the movement and white water of the lower Animas. Beau was a Great! guide and Frank was entertaining as our bus driver. Happy Rafting!

Congratulations on your 26th wedding anniversary and thanks for coming back to see us! Next summer I suggest a Mesa Verde National Park tour with Frank. If you thought he was entertaining driving the rafting bus in town you will definitely be awed by his depth of knowledge concerning our nations premier archaeological national park. Cheers!
