This was an excellent tour. Our guide, Derrick, was personable, informative, and knowledgeable. He moved us through the whole tour efficiently - tough to do given the two boat rides and massive crowds.
At the Statue of Liberty we were taken into the pedestal where Derrick led us through the museum explaining the creation of the statute and its restoration. We went to the top of the pedestal where he noted more about the statue itself as well as pointing out the views of New York and New Jersey.
We took another boat trip to Ellis Island where Derrick took us through the immigrant experience and provided an excellent overview of the island and its buildings. We were allowed to stay on the island to further explore the exhibits and take a later boat back to New York on our own.
Excellent tour outstanding guide. Highly recommended.

This was a very in-depth tour of the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island. Uncle Jeff was an excellent, knowledgeable and very entertaining guide. There's no waiting in line except to get on the ferries and everything goes very smoothly. If you are a first time visitor to NYC this is a must.
