eBike Rainforest Experience

After a 9 mile narrated van ride to the north end of Douglas Island and a short training session, guests start e-biking. After riding along the shoreline on a paved dedicated bike lane taking in fresh ocean breezes and stunning views of the largest national forest in America. The tour takes you on a short walk down an old growth Forrest path to a secluded beach offering amazing photo opportunities.

We had a phenomenal time with Paul as our guide! We really appreciated his local knowledge of everything we encountered in the forest and at the beach. We loved learning about the ecosystem of Tongass Forest and the many interesting facts he shared about Juneau and the history of Alaska. He even gave us a lesson on which berries are safe to eat and which to avoid. We loved trying out all the "safe" berries as we went along. This is a truly unique and interesting experience that I would definitely recommend! My kids are 12 and 13 and loved every second of it too.

Best tour of the trip! E-biking on Douglas Island, viewing Mendenhall glacier, hiking through Tongas rain forest. Seeing salmon spawn. Carli and phoenix were so knowledgeable and fun!

Great time with our hosts Kacie and Phoenix. The views and fresh air were unbelievable. We loved the hike through the forest. Overall, a wonderful experience.
