eBike Rainforest Experience

After a 9 mile narrated van ride to the north end of Douglas Island and a short training session, guests start e-biking. After riding along the shoreline on a paved dedicated bike lane taking in fresh ocean breezes and stunning views of the largest national forest in America. The tour takes you on a short walk down an old growth Forrest path to a secluded beach offering amazing photo opportunities.

This excursion was FANTASTIC!!! It was one of our favorite things in Juneau. We were picked up at the port and transported to Douglas Island. We were a smaller group- seven people plus our two amazing guides, Phoenix and Sione. We stop at the Fish Creek Park and are set up with our bikes and helmets. We are given instructions on the operation of the e-bikes and safety. We hit the road and start our ride. The surroundings are just beautiful! We stop for photo ops and drinks by the Mendenhall Glacier. We continue on with occasional stops for breaks. When we turn back, we park our bikes at the Rainforest Trail, and take a hike into the rainforest with our guides explaining the vegetation and characteristics of the surroundings. Our guides were locals and were very knowledgeable about the area We get back to our bikes and pedal back to Fish Creek. The day was so much fun and Phoenix and Sione were the best! I highly recommend this excursion!!!

Phoenix and Sione were waiting for us at our designated pick-up spot. They were efficient and welcoming! They took time with each and every one of us, fitting us expertly on our bikes and helmets. The actual tour was beyond AMAZING!! Their attention to safety for all of us while on the road was commendable. The Tongas rain forest walk was incredibly interesting as was the knowledge of our guides! Highlight of our visit to Juneau!
