The bungee jump in Monteverde consists of jumping off a tram, which moves on cables operated by a motor, into the center of a valley. The extreme jump is 143 meters off the ground. Jumper's minimum weight is 50kg. and maximum weight is 113kg. Transportation is included.

Just what I was hoping for! For 40$ you get to do a superman zipline while hanging from your back so you can see the view below! Loved that one and the Tarzan swing the most! The most bang for your buck, I asked the locals which zip line tour was the best and they all said extremo. I was impressed on how many guides went with us, we were a small group which was nice and fast, there was about 6 guides which was a lot so always felt safe. Saw a monkey hanging out in the tree by the rappel swing which is also fun. They take photos of you which you can buy for about 5$ a person. They take a lot of photos of you! You can add to your package the bungee jump which looks incredable, we saw a few people doing it. It cost 60$ which is fine. But for $45 you get to zipline for about 2-3 hours that is a great deal. I think I said it cost 40$ above. The lady we booked with in town have us a discount since we were a large group. I am sure the other zip line places are fun too, but I am so glad we went with extremo! Fun fun fun, and beautiful and safe but exciting!!

I've now been ziplining 5 times - 4 in Costa Rica and once in Guatemala. While exhilarating, they all offer about the same thing - the ability to fly through the air at high speed over long distances. Extremo offers that, but it is much more. We got to go on a Tarzan Swing - where you drop straight down and swing out - my favorite part of the tour. We also went on a rappel drop - falling straight down. While they say their top priority is safety (and I don't doubt them), the experience was a ton of fun. I followed up my zipline tour with a bungee jump - a definite must for those of you looking for a little more. I'd never done it before and it was so much fun I made them let me do it twice.

I went with my husband so i will share experiences of a person who had never done anything like it and my husband who has done many extreme things in his life. I did the zip line, but not the tarzan swing. I felt safe if not coddled by the staff. The views were great and it was not too scary. The superman on the other hand was too much for me. I am glad I did it but it was way out of my comfort zone. There is a lot of strenuous for me walking between the zip lines. My husband did everything including the bungee jump. This is the longest and most extreme zip line he has done. The tarzan swing was an awesome experience, but not for everyone. The superman was very enjoyable, you feel like a bird flying. Bungee jumping for the first time in his life was very scary. The staff however created an atmosphere that took his mind away from fear and made it easier.
