It was amazing. Two really good guys who explain the history about black rights in Selma trough the figure of his grandfather. Also, they can compare the evolution to the civil rights and discuss about actual achievements of Selma's community and black reividications.

It was an awesome learning experience. Excited that I was able to visit the area and see what sparked a movement! Also very humbling, I am hoping tour like this will bring more awareness to Selma as there is so much to be proud of but the current state is not quite what I expected!

This is a must-do tour of Selma! The tour is led by the grandsons of F.D. Reese, with whom I was not familiar before the tour but should have been. He was a primary mover of the Selma march. The tour begins in his house with an overview of the work of F.D. Reese. Then you hop in your car and follow the guide through the town of Selma, stopping at various locations that were important leading up to the march. It concluded with walking over the bridge. I would highly recommend this tour as the best way to really understand what happened in Selma and see the sights with great insights from the guides.
