Enjoy an adventurous winter activity during your time in Fairbanks. On this snowmobile tour, your guide will show you how to operate the snowmobile before leading you out to your adventure, through a true winter wonderland, exploring the frozen rivers, lakes and snow-covered mountains around the Chena Lakes recreation area outside of North Pole.

It is very important that you arrive 30 minutes before your tour time for your safety briefing and gear check to avoid inconveniencing other tours running throughout the day. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your safety briefing, you will forfeit your tour and no refunds will be given. Tours cannot be rescheduled.

If you are using a GPS, do NOT take Conifer Drive. Take Nelson Road only. Allow 45 minutes travel time from Fairbanks.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Tours are subject to change due weather conditions or lack of snow.
Minimum driving age is 18 with a valid driving license. Ages from 7 to 17 may ride as a passenger only.
Children age 6 and younger are not allowed
Driving time will be around 60 minutes. Safety briefing and fitting of the helmets etc. will be approximately 25 minutes extra, so you must arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled start time.
Optional upgrade to 2 hours is possible pending resources. (Please call office direct).

My parents and I ended up booking a last minute tour with this company and we loved it! My parents, both in their 60's were concerned with safety, but Tony helped walk us through every step. Unlike some companies, Tony even provides a safety demonstration and ensures that everyone understands how to ride a snowmobile since most of us never rode before. Tony was enthusiastic and informative throughout the tour. He even took photos of each group at the half way mark. Afterwards, on an unusually busy day for getting a taxi, Tony went above and beyond to ensure that my family was able to get back to our destination. Highly recommend it!

A thrilling, fun-filled experience in a majestic snowy beautiful setting on top of Chena lake. Tony, our guide is so amazing in helping us turning our fear into fun. My wife and I enjoy it every much. It’s really worth the trip.

" Frozen" Tony was an awesome guide and we enjoyed the tour. Will definitely come back again. Driving on the frozen chena lake was an amazing experience.
