Enjoy an adventurous winter activity during your time in Fairbanks. On this snowmobile tour, your guide will show you how to operate the snowmobile before leading you out to your adventure, through a true winter wonderland, exploring the frozen rivers, lakes and snow-covered mountains around the Chena Lakes recreation area outside of North Pole.

It is very important that you arrive 30 minutes before your tour time for your safety briefing and gear check to avoid inconveniencing other tours running throughout the day. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your safety briefing, you will forfeit your tour and no refunds will be given. Tours cannot be rescheduled.

If you are using a GPS, do NOT take Conifer Drive. Take Nelson Road only. Allow 45 minutes travel time from Fairbanks.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Tours are subject to change due weather conditions or lack of snow.
Minimum driving age is 18 with a valid driving license. Ages from 7 to 17 may ride as a passenger only.
Children age 6 and younger are not allowed
Driving time will be around 60 minutes. Safety briefing and fitting of the helmets etc. will be approximately 25 minutes extra, so you must arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled start time.
Optional upgrade to 2 hours is possible pending resources. (Please call office direct).

WHAT A FANTASTIC TOUR!! Tony (Frozen Tony 😂) was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond what any tour guide I’ve experienced has done. I have professional quality pictures of myself and my bestie snowmobiling through the arctic tundra!! 10/10 recommend!!

This is absolutely a MUST DO while in Fairbanks! Overall Alaska Wildlife Guide is a phenomenal group as we did another Northern Lights tour a few days prior, but this was the icing on the most delicious Alaskan cake of a vacation. Frozen Tony (or FroTo to his two new besties) is an amazing guide and actually goes several extra miles for to capture some unbelievably professional-like pics while on the tour.

My hubby and I had the chance to go out with the awesome tour guide Frozen Tony! He was great! From getting us into our helmets to walking us through the rules and guidelines, he was efficient, professional, funny, full of great tips, and super personable. Throughout the trip he gave all of us the opportunity to stop at scenic areas and he would take multiple pictures of us, I mean laying in the snow for the right shot kind of pictures! He left nothing behind. Even when his own snowmobile wouldn’t come back on, he handled it with grace, found a resolution and we continued on our way. I would recommend this experience for anything be who has not done this before. You definitely need insulated pants and top layers and a good pair of gloves. And don’t forget the face mask (balaclava), especially in the winter months. You will want to wear the balaclava, to protect from the cold and for that full face helmet you will be putting on. They have some you can use but personal preference, I would bring my own. Thank you Tony for the most memorable experience!
