We came here and went through the history of the plant exhibit. It was really interesting and we loved learning about Sue the T-Rex. The exhibit also talked about the formation of the planet, each of the extinction periods and has a lot of great information. The museum has a variety of exhibits and is located in an area with several other museums, making it easy to visit a couple on the same day. I would recommend visiting if you are in Chicago.

Huge natural history museum with tons of exhibits. If you have a dinosaur lover in your group they will be in heaven. Lots of (mildly macabre) exhibits of stuffed animals from around the world - cool to see them but sad to think that they were once alive. Really cool Egyptian exhibit too. We spent about 2 hours here only going through a few sections but you could easily spend much longer.

Watch out for pickpockets! Yes...in the museum. My wallet was taken right out of my purse while I was viewing exhibits. Exhibits, themselves, are terrific. Wide variety for all, and nicely done. We spent almost a full day and didnt see it all. We'll go back...just watch and protect ourselves from thieves. Never would I have thought to be wary inside such a nice museum.
