Not getting a military discount because I am retired, not active! So, once you spend a lifetime of sacrifice, retired oldies no longer count as patriotic heroes that allowed those who did not, live fuller lives and prosper. Sad.

This is the sort of museum that in other parts of the US is free one day of the week and everyone goes there at that moment to end up having lots of fun; this is not the case because the Field Museum is as expensive as other (better) museum/attractions in Chicago. It is just not worth the money if you are touristing with family or are not passionate enough about this sort of places.

Thank you for visiting the Museum, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback. We have been in our lakefront home for 100 years and we are excited that we constantly are evolving our space with new experiences. Some of our latest additions are a new suite for SUE the T. rex added in 2019 and a remodeled Stanley Field Hall with Máximo the Titanosaur and the hanging gardens in 2018. Some other recent updates include Science Hub, Crown Family PlayLab, Hall of Conservation, Regenstein Halls of the Pacific and Evolving Planet. A general admission ticket offers entry to over 35 permanent halls at the museum. One of the popular spaces, Native North America is currently undergoing a full renovation that will also be a part of the general admission experience. We will always maintain some of the classic favorites like the hall of mammals. The traveling exhibitions we feature several times a year and our new Cyrus Tang Hall of China can be added to your ticket for an additional cost. We hope on your next visit you are able to check out some of these other spaces.

I wouldn’t go again however if u love animals and dinosaurs this is your place. It has a lot to see. U need 2-3 hours of time. Get the city place it’s a deal since each ticket is $40
