My wife and I really enjoyed the exhibitions, very life like, and very real. It had more scenes then I thought, with three floors, it was a lot to take in.

I love this museum. Maybe because I have fond memories of visiting here in elementary school with my grandma. However, visiting a few weeks ago as an adult didn't disappoint. I'm a dinasour fan and thought it was great to see Sue. My favorite Triceratops was undercover to repairs... which made it a bit anticlimatic; however I'm glad that they are taking good care of the items they have on display. The area where you can watch them work on fossils was amazing. The restoring Earth exhibit was also fantastic. I do hope the museum keeps up their great work and keeps this exhibit current as there are a lot great educational components to share! There was more to see than I had time for... guess I'll need to go back!

I seriously underestimated the Field museum. I allowed half a day, and it needs two full days at my level of wonderment. Because it includes century-old specimens taken from the wild, it is filled with meticulously preserved fauna which are not taken today, and therefore not seen in newer museums. This place is a treasure. Buy the cheapest admission ticket, and don't go for the latest trendy exhibit since your cheapest ticket will show you enough to amaze you. And bring your best walking shoes - It's a big, place! [Here I step in where I may not be appreciated: One tires of reading how bad humans have been to the environment, to the point of gross redundance. I tried not to become jaded, and wonder why the intelligent curators can't communicate this with a more appealing touch.]
