Join us at Taste of Nawlin’s breakfast tour in the French Quarter where we will start the tour with a full breakfast at one of New Orleans’ most popular restaurants. We will then stroll though the French Quarter which is New Orleans’ most famous and most popular area to visit. It's also the city's oldest neighborhood. Learn about our city’s unique French heritage, our world famous architecture, the difference between Creole and Cajun and some of our most colorful historical figures.

Breakfast included is the New orleans famous Pain Perdu "Lost Bread"

We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and got to know our fellow tour participants in a fun leisurely way prior to heading out on the tour. Our tour guide was over the top fun and knowledgeable! She added a touch of humor at every point as well as providing interesting and enlightening insights into the city. It is easy to walk through the French Quarter and notice interesting structures. It is more interesting to learn about the back story to many of the sights we have seen many times in the past. We have visited the city many times over the last 30 years and always are pleased to find something new or a new approach to learning about the history and architecture. Nothing like a great breakfast and a good walk in the morning to start the day!!

We set up the Breakfast tour while making plans for our trip. Our travel agent said to be sure and call the day before to confirm this. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and I called the number that she supplied. There was a recording, so I left a message and my phone number. We didn't hear after a few hours, so I tried again in the morning before we left for the tour. We arrived at the location approx 30 minutes early and waited. At time the tour was supposed to leave, no one else was there, no tour guide. We were just getting ready to leave when "Bruce" came up. He said they didn't have a number to contact us. I told him that I had called and left a number. No explaination as to why, but he offered us the afternoon tour, if we wanted to come back later, and it would be just us and another couple. He made sure to tell us that the tour usually cost more, but they wouldn't charge us more. Since we had plans for the rest of our trip, we agreed. We went back in the afternoon and, as Bruce said, were met by David, our guide, and another couple. Again, we were never given an explanation as to why we had to change. David was a good guide, very knowledgeable, and fun to listen to. The samplings were good. But at times, he seemed to change the itinerary, so not sure we ended up with the "full package". It was a good tour, as far as learning the area and some history, but not one I'd take again.
