I've had the privilege of fly-fishing with Kenai River Trout Anglers enough where I'm happily starting to lose count of how many times we've gone. And each time builds off the last creating more wonderful memories. My buddy joined me for his first fly-fishing experience with Kenai River Trout Anglers and I quickly lost track of how many amazing fish we caught. JJ, who's always extremely kind and super fun to fish with, got us into so many from rainbow trout and arctic char to sockeyes and coho. His expertise shines as his knowledge of the river comes to life with pinpoint accuracy of when to cast in certain spots, impressive explanations of fish behavior in this ecosystem and expert techniques that'll have you reeling in fish of a lifetime throughout the full-day drift. And yes, the word trout in his company's name certainly foreshadows the rainbows of your dreams. In fact, JJ guided me into catching the largest rainbow trout I've ever had, at approximately 34 inches. It was the kind of fishing experience where it nearly runs out your backing and endlessly dances down the river with you smiling in amazement as you finish reeling it in, saluting the trout as it disappears into the turquoise water ... thanking God for moments like this! I can't wait for our next trip to Alaska, as only my daydreams will suffice until we can fish again with Kenai River Trout Anglers. Eric

This was definitely a trip I will never forget. I have seen a lot of trout in my time on the Kenai but the one you caught in the canyon was definitely one of the biggest. It was such a thrill to see a fish of this size and to see you fighting it as we floated down the river. Being able to put people on fish like this make me feel lucky to have this job and I appreciate every moment of it. Thanks for the awesome review and I hope to see you guys again in the future!

My wife and I have fished with JJ three times now, and we have never been disappointed. We are Alaska junkies, and have fished with him at least one day on each of our last three trips. JJ works hard and knows the river, and he has always put us on plenty of fish. However, it's the fact that he is such a quality person that keeps us coming back. The inevitable slow day of of fishing will still be a great day floating the beautiful Kenai River with JJ. We highly recommend Kenai River Trout Anglers.

Wow! We had an absolutely spectacular time fishing on the amazing Kenai River with J.J. Brown. There were five of us; my son and I as well as a buddy of mine and his two sons. This was our second fishing trip with J.J. during our 2 week vacation in beautiful Cooper Landing. J.J. spent a lot of time showing us the proper technique for hooking sockeye and provided us with great instruction on how to successfully land the fish after hooking them. It didn't take long for J.J. to put us on a hot spot and we were catching Salmon left and right. Hooking sockeye and seeing them jump out of the water while putting up a fight is an absolutely exhilarating experience. To top it all off, the scenery while fishing all day was breathtaking. J.J. is extremely knowledgeable and takes a lot of pride in his work, which is clearly evident throughout the trip. He is a great guide and wants everyone to have an incredible time and truly experience what fishing on the Kenai River is all about. These two fishing trips with J.J. were experiences of a lifetime for us and memories that my son and I will never forget. I you're looking to book an amazing fishing trip on the Kenai River, I highly recommend Kenai River Trout Anglers. J.J. Brown is top notch and you will not be disappointed.
