One of the best outdoor experiences ever! Thanks to Garl and Hannah who made sure this happened on my birthday. . Garl is a humble expert in the Everglades, the reptiles, plants, and the ecology of the Everglades. We started the day sloughing in the Glades walking to a cypress dome, aka alligator hole. He spent some time showing us other gators and explaining what we were going to experience. . It was better than I could have imagined and highly recommend. Pictures will be added later. Garl is well respected by the National Park staff, and others we met along the way. Know that he invests a lot of time training his guides. . After sloughing, we paddled some marked and unmarked areas of the nine mile pools. . Garl also was gracious to help an elderly couple who were very lost. Wait until you hear the story of croczella, the giant crocodile eating a large gator. . The skull from that battle is now part of the croc walk series shared by the Park Service. Last, but not least, Garl took us for a sunset paddle, launching from Flamingo. Garl, a sincere thanks for a wonderful day!! Also, Hannah... thanks for your great customer service and follow up in planning the trip and patience with emails.

My husband and I booked our excursion through the Everglades with Garl's. Erin our guide was very knowledgeable and down to earth. She took us for a walk in the Everglades then kayaking through nine mile lake. We saw alligators, Crocodile and many birds. The sunset off the shore of Flamingo Bay was beautiful and we even saw a manatee. That final part of our trip was a night walk through the Anhinga Trail was great. Erin supplied us with flashlights so we could see the night wildlife along the trail. We saw a snapping turtle, several alligators, and many fish. We even saw a python on our way out of the park and a lesser orange back turtle. It was a long day and we were tired by the end but it was well worth it. Thanks guys! Brian & Angela from Ontario

First of all: It's definitely worth it! We booked the Everglades full day trip on short notice and luckily were able to get a tour the same day, that part was uncomplicated. We had Garl himself as our Guide and it was amazing. We had two hikes (daylight and night) and also two cayak tours, and were able to see crocodiles, alligators, sharks and nice birds (for alligators and crocodiles it depends on the season, though). In my opinion Garl hit the perfect balance between telling us information about the park, the wildlife etc. and also giving us time to just enjoy the moments and landscape. He is very knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions. Watershoes and long pants and sleeves are definitely recommended, but depending on the group size he is able to help you out with that. Yes, you can do hiking and cayak trips on your own in the Everglades, but we hit trails and tracks you highly likely wouldn't even think of and with his experience and eye we were able to see a lot of interesting things and would join one of his tours everytime again. Outstanding, Garl!
