We had such a great day on the water! The weather cooperated and the Captain (Nat) picked a perfect route for our adventure. We saw humpback and Orca whales, eagles, otters, sea lions, harbor seals, puffins and many other birds. The trip into Northwestern Glacier was very fun! Nat was able to get us into Crater Cove and then surprised us with the music of Jurassic Park echoing off the walls of the cove. AWESOME! At one point heading to NW glacier we came across a pod of Orcas. They seemed to be playful as they approached the boat sitting respectfully quiet in the water. The Captain & First Mate (Kyle) dropped an underwater mic to pick up the whales 'music' and broadcast it to the ship. Hannah, another mate, made sure everyone was comfortable and attended to. We've had several day cruises but this one was definitely the BEST! Would recommend highly but remember that on the water....the weather rules and this company adjusts as needed.

What a day! Despite some initial misgivings about the weather since there had been storms the previous days, we lucked out for the most part seeing TWO orca pods just hanging out, some lone humpbacks, a pod of beautiful Dall's porpoises that came bow riding, harbor seals, sea lions, more puffins than I could count, loads of other sea birds and even a fleeting glimpse of a fin whale. The glacier at the end was stunning as well! This was only possible because Captain Laura is a great spotter (in addition to negotiating some large swells at times very well). Her narration of all we were seeing was a highlight for us. Her crew of Abby and Madison were excellent too. (And how cool to have an all-women crew aboard a ship!). The lunch was good too - don't miss the fabulous brownies! All in all, a fantastic day! Seeing all that wildlife against the backdrop of spectacular scenery of the national park...well, we couldn't have asked for much better.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska for my 3 teenage boys and I. Captain Justin and his first mate, Matthew did an outstanding job and provided great service. Captain Justin was extremely knowledgeable providing information on the animals, area and historical data. Matthew was great to assist in pointing out the various birds and areas of interest and was very friendly and hospitable. We saw a staggering amount of whales all in one spot and I'm so thankful Captain Justin gave us time to appreciate the thrilling moment. We also spend ~30 minutes in the NW glacier area and experience the glaciers calving. We saw puffins, bald eagles, seals, otters, and many, many birds. We also got to experience a beautiful area of cascading waterfalls. I would highly recommend this tour. SOOO worth it!
