We greatly enjoyed our full day tour in Washington DC. Our bus driver, Mr. Herman, was excellent in every way.. He was a very skillful and patient driver in the heavy interstate traffic and on the very busy streets of our nation's capitol. Our DC guide, Mike, was knowledgeable and interesting. The tour included many historic sites and beautiful monuments. We appreciated our free afternoon hours, and Mr, Herman let us choose from several good optional locations to be dropped off and then picked us back up from the various locations. We also had a couple of extra stops on our way out of town. Our group was not put off by the condition of the coach, which showed a little wear, but was clean, cool, and comfortable. All in all, we were very happy with this tour and would highly recommend it. Just be aware that it is a very long day, and well worth the price... .

First, I would like to mention how exceptional our driver, Mr Herman, was. His skills in operating a full-sized bus in DC traffic and inclement weather were amazing. Additionally, the tour director, Mike Epstein, was very knowledgeable and informative regarding the venues and monuments we visited. That being said, we were not advised that many of the museums have not reopened post-Covid and of those that were open a time reservation was required. These reservations should have been made days in advance. We did not reserve this tour last minute. Our reservations were made on April 8th for a June 10th excursion. There was more than ample time to advise us of the necessity of required reservations. Also, it was a completely full bus making loading and unloading a time-consuming, excruciating process. Therefore, challenging time schedules. All in all, a lack of tour itinerary knowledge on the part of the director, two hours of wasted time in DC at the museums and inclement weather provided for a less than favorable experience.

Thank you for choosing to travel with Oleta. We apologize that your experience wasn't excellent like so many others. Your family are some of the few that were effected by the changes during covid. During this time we aren't handing out itineraries the day of the tour. Due to the smithsonian museums schedules we are now calling ALL customers the week of the trip to give them options of things to do. Unfortuately there are about 1-5% of guests that dont answer the phone, check voicemail and/or read the email about the tour. We can not control what buildigs are open and closed in the city but can give updates weekly which is what we do because they change regularly. Also the week that you'll went, a few parties asked the driver to take them down to the other end of the mall instead of where many others got off to go into the museum that was open. Our driver was nice enough to take you down there to check to see if you could get into the monument on the same day which wasn't possible. So many of the other guests got into museums there were dropped off at the sites we recommended but the few that asked to be taken down to another location was not. We want everyone to have an excellent experience but it can be a challenge with things changing regularly. Please let us know if you are ever back in our area we would do our best to see to it that you have a better experience.
