Explore New Orlean's history on a guided our of Oak Alley Plantation. Learn all about plantation life from your tour guide and see antique farm machinery up close. Marvel at the long-standing and impressive 28 oak trees that line the road leading up to the main plantation house. Benefit from pick-up at your accommodation in New Orleans, and then make your way to the Oak Alley Plantation in Vacherie for your guided walking tour of its grounds. Oak Alley was named after the 28 huge oak trees that line the road leading up to – and pre-dating the plantation house.

After your plantation tour we will head down to Westwego Louisiana where you have a chance to enjoy a sit down lunch (AT OWN EXPENSE).

After lunch we will take you across the Cajun Swamp where you take a 90 minutes airboat ride. The Captains will navigate their way through the swamp. You will learn about Louisiana Wetlands, the inhabitants of the swamp, the life and habits of the American Alligators. Riders must be 48" tall.

We loved everything about the experience. Our driver Dionne was great!! Our only feedback was waiting over 45 min after the gator tour drop off. We wish we could have explored the plantation more with that time. We sat at picnic tables waiting for the swamp tour. All time appreciated on vacation!
