Highly recommend this tour. The new generation of docent/curators here bring a lot more historical information forward. They provide a good balance of architectural, civic, and social history. The wonderful diversity of New Orlean's past is respected, and the story that is told is supported and illuminated by the house itself and its artifacts. Sure, it's a fancy house, but it's also an important survivor with tales to tell!

Took a very interesting and informative tour today with tour guide Warren Irwin at Gallier House. Wonderful historical facts and lots of attention to architectural details. Highly recommended! The Hermann-Grima house tour is also worthwhile. Very thankful that these architectural gems are being preserved in the French Quarter and their history is available to the visiting public.

We took an impromptu tour of this home as we were curious what the insides of these beautiful homes looked like. We got more than we expected. The society has restored the home to its original state and we learned about the history of the home as well as life at the time of its construction. The tour was about an hour and well worth it for the curious.
