My favorite thing to do while touring a town is a ghost tour, so needless to say, I've been on A LOT of ghost tours and this is definitely in my top two of all time! It starts t 9:00 and lasts for two hours but it is worth it! My sister and mother and I had so much fun with the equipment throughout the night, but the tour guide is the one who made the tour so amazing. Larry was incredibly knowledgable and engaging and made the whole evening informative as well as incredibly spooky. Some of the stories are a little mature for younger participants, but Larry makes sure to cater to the younger children as well. There were a few in strollers on our tour and they did fine. Overall, if you are looking for a fun, terrifying end to you night, I would seriously recommend this tour. We were not the only ones who loved it that night either. There were two people who had come back to take the tour for a second time within just a couple of weeks and I would do it again in a heart beat!

My family attended this ghost tour while on vacation to Gatlinburg. We have attended many ghost tours in other cities because we love to hear the local folklore, history, and ghost stories of the area. This particular ghost tour contained none of that. The tour guide, Brad, was more interested in handing out cheap, and corny looking ghost catching equipment, that he wouldn’t even let kids hold. He was also more interested in showing us pictures that he has taken of “ghosts” and orbs than actually telling us ghost stories or folklore about the area. The stories he did tell us made no sense and had no relevance to ghosts being spotted in the area. The stories were also inappropriate for young children because he often dramatize the amount of blood and gore that occurred during certain incidents. It was also unsafe because all we did was cross streets without following proper safety rules, and stood in parking lots where cars were frequently trying to use. Overall, if you are interested in actually trying to see or capture ghosts this tour is for you, but if you want to hear local tales and ghost stories, I would not recommend.

Maggie, I am sorry you didn't enjoy your tour. I was your tour guide so I feel I can intelligently reply to your concerns having been there. First, I couldn't disagree with you more that we don't tell stories of Gatlinburgs past, ghost stories and folklore. That is in fact exactly what we do, I am not at all sure what you mean by the stories made no sense, and had no reverence to the ghosts spotted there? I am sorry but hu? what do you mean by that? We do stop and talk about sensitives, ghosts orbs and share pictures for 10 minutes out of two hours and giving advice on how to get similar pictures yourselves I just don't see why thats a problem as 99% of the people come on tours to be entertained and learn more on the subject. As for your children and being inappropriate, that is up to you to decide if they should go on a tour like this and I assure you (and anyone reading this) that while there were two stories that could be told in a way that could be overly graphic we (I) make it a point not to be overly graphic but rather just tell the story. In fact never once is the word blood used on the tour and I am completely baffled why you would say that. You are welcome to email or call us anytime and tell us what you found specificly graphic. As for the cheap, corny equipment, I assure you they are neither and some are very expensive. We don't hand out the equipment to kids but rather the parents as it is not fun to replace a 400.00 piece of equipment that was droped. I am sorry you took offense to this. As for being unsafe, we try very hard to keep our customers safe and in almost 20 years of doing this we have yet to have anyone get hurt.

Had a great time investigating. And hearing the dark history of Gatlinburg. Even caught some interesting stuff.
