I usually go on a ghost tour in every city I visit and this one may have been the one I least liked. The gentleman giving the tour on the motorized vehicle was nice and a good storyteller with what he had to work with. I think what was disappointing was the short distance we travelled in two hours time. It seemed as though it was a stretch to have stories in this given radius. We spent a lot of time just taking about orbs. We did use some ghost equipment but only two? People had the ovulus and nothing was mentioned about the things the people were getting all night from it. It would’ve been nice to share that with the others. It would’ve been interesting if the guide would’ve asked those holding it to share what words they were receiving. I also think what would’ve made this better for me would be to take a van or bus to different sites and get on and off as some other tours do so to visit more sites and hear better stories. Go to the edge of the cemetery. It seemed that too many people were on the tour— dare I say at least 30? Even little kids.

I appreciate your review, and I would like to respond to some of your points. Yes! we have had some wonderfull reviews and I think most people truly enjoy the tour! We must taylor the tour for all types of people, and 1 mile distance in walking is plenty for most when you take into account peoples other activities they have done earlier in the day and many who frankly can't walk that far. Gatlinburg is a very small town, the main strip is only about about one mile in length and it is a walking town, parking is at a premium (and can be expensive) and add in traffic issues and extra costs in vehicle, gas and insurance and those would have to passed on in ticket prices. Frankly its not feasible to have a motorized tour in Gatlinburg. As for the cemetery, it is very difficult to drive there, (like many places in Gatlinburg) and we are not allowed to take guests to the cemetery by the city, So thats not an option. I am not sure what you mean by you used ghost hunting equipment but only two, we had 10 pieces shared over the tour. Typically if someone with an ovulis gets something interesting they share along the way but as we are limited to 2 hours, if we ask people to share, half our time could be spent listening to some one read off words, I doubt that would be well received. While we did talk about sensitives, orbs and what they are It was not IMHO an excessive amount of time and lots of people enjoy that as they learn a lot about the subject. And lastly, yes, in our busy season we have larger groups just like everyone in tourist areas and sometimes we do have groups that get in to the high twenties and sometimes push even 30 before we close them off, If you want a private tour give us a call, we may be able to accommodate you although tickets for that would be more expensive.

I have been on ghost tours in Salam, MA; Charleston, SC; and London, UK. They were all fun and unique in their own way, but the Ghost and Haunt Tour of Gatlinburg has been my favorite so far! Larry is a great story teller and very respectful of the people these true stories are about. He not only helped us take pictures the right way (which no other tour explained), but he had such cool equipment we were able to use! One review said the equipment made it cheesy, they are totally wrong. We got results on several devices, but mostly the ovulus. Even intelligent interactions! Some of the stories are a bit graphic, though. We had several young kids on our tour (maybe 5-10) but I’m not sure everything was kid appropriate. Probably better for 12+, but definitely up to each individual family.
