The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum, bearing the name of Hammondsport's favorite son, is located on State Route 54, one half mile south of the village of Hammondsport, New York. Dedicated to the memory of pioneer aviator, Glenn Curtiss, the museum contains a priceless collection relating to early aviation and local history. The museum also features a 75-seat theater, large open area for special events and a museum store. In addition to seeing the museum displays and exhibits, visitors are welcome to visit the Restoration Shop, talk with volunteer craftsman and watch them work on historic aircraft.

It didn’t look very interesting but my husband really wanted to go but yet I was the one that found everything very interesting I sat and watched all the videos it was really a great time and I spent much more time there than I thought I would.And the people working there were fantastic we spent about 2 1/2 hours loved the snoopy exhibit

A bit of history that almost been forgotten. Glwn Curtiss actually won the award for flying 1st. He also held the world record for being the fastest man 136+ miles on a motorcycle in the early 1900s. Plus the 1st women to fly were trained by him. Great place to learn how motorcycle, engines abd airplanes are connected. Worth visiting.
