I scheduled a tour for my boyfriend and me for his birthday. We've been living in San Francisco for nearly 5 years, so we're probably not the typical GoCar riders (read: tourists), but it was still a really fun afternoon activity! Forrest and Betel were working at the booth and they were both friendly and helpful and getting us set up for our tour. We did the 3 hour tour which went through the Marina, up to GGB, around Lincoln Blvd to Lands End, through the park, and back through Cow Hollow and Lombard Street. The tour took us almost exactly 3 hours, but we didn't really stop at all.

Excellent, we are very happy to hear you enjoyed our tour and that our staff was helpful to you. In case you consider doing it again, we recommend the All Day Tour which provides the added value of having ample time to get off, grab a bite to eat, without feeling like you need to rush.

This is the best way to see San Francisco. I booked our trip right on TripAdvisor and selected the 3-hour tour. They told me that I might want to add an hour because of all the things I wanted to see. They allowed me to add an extra hour while I was out with the car. Forrest was super awesome and helpful. These cars are so much fun. People were waving at us and taking pictures of us when we went by. Be careful on these steep San Francisco hills though, some are too steep to climb, and we didn't realize until we were on them. Luckily there were some nice folks to help us back the car up when we needed it. I highly recommend touring a city in a Go Car if they offer them. The GPS guide is great and I love that she has a personality! You can go into areas that other tour buses cannot which is pretty cool.

I so glad you had a great experience. It is true the cars can't make it up the steepest hills. If you stay on the tour you will be fine, but you are free to blaize your own trails and explore on your own if you want! And thanks for the shout out to Forrest.

My brother and I rented the GoCar at the Union Station location and had a ton of fun driving around the city, up Market, down Embarcadero and thru China town. We came late in the day, but luckily both Forest and Ray did a great job orienting us and making us feel comfortable with the car so we could make the most of the time we had. Great experience and wonderful staff.
