My husband and I rented bikes from Golden Gate Bridge Bike Rentals and it was fun! We rode the bikes round trip to the Golden Gate Bridge and across the bridge. The staff was very friendly, the bikes were nice and at a decent rate. The ride is really nice once you get near the water headed to the bridge. Although their website says they are the closest bike rental to the bridge, that isn't true. We saw another bike rental shop closer to the bridge.

Riding bikes is a great way to se the city. We had a really good time. Very happy with the bikes and the service. We can really recommend using Golden Gate Bridge bike rentals!

very easy service here picked up without reservation and closest rental point to the bridge - it is still a good cycle over around 10K with some tough hills so be aware. GGBR though very helpful and also have a drop off point on the other side which comes in handy especially if you want to have a drink when you land.. only downside was price.. in the end it cost us nearly 100 dollars for two people and we had the bikes only 2 hours - I guess if you kept them for the day it might be better value
