We rented bikes from Golden Gate Bile rental- it was super easy to rent ahead of time and pick up was a breeze. We rented single and tandem bikes. There are a few blocks you need to ride on the street to get to the golden gate bike path, but after that it is all pedestrian and bike routes.

This place was pretty close to our hotel. They were very friendly and hooked us up with a tandem bike to roam the city for I believe $15/hr. This was the perfect way to explore the city as a duo and the bike was fun and easy to use. Frame of bike was taken care of and tires pumped up n ready to go. Helmets included!

This place was so easy to rent from. I made a reservation on-line, which saved me $6 bucks and eliminated the hassle of filling out paperwork at the office. The staff was very courteous and helpful and addressed all my questions, even providing me tips for my excursion across the bridge. A U-Bar bike lock is included in the rental! Spend some time in Sausalito at a local restaurant or bar before hopping on the Ferry back to SF...an epic day!
