Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. This is also the staring point for Uncle Tom's Trail. The hike is a 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, through the forest out to Ribbon Lake, and then past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows with big views of the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this is it!

We were originally going on the Lamar tour but when we checked in to the Yellowstone Lake Lodge we realized we would have to leave at 5:30 AM. They were able to change our tour to the Yellowstone Grand Canyon Rim Tour. Nice of them to accommodate us because we couldn’t imagine a more beautiful tour! Alex was a great guide, Knowledgeable and fun. Great lunch by a lake. The scenery was beautiful!! Highly recommend this tour!

If I could, I would give it no stars. My husband and I booked a tour for 9/18/2021 which was supposed to start at 8:00 am. We got up early as we had to drive from Gardiner, MT and wanted to make sure we weren’t late. There were 7 other people scheduled for the hike and we all met at the designated place. Well, after waiting until 8:30 am with no guide and several calls to the number given to contact them to no avail, we all decided he/she was a no-show. We all went on with our day. We got an email from Trip Advisor the next day saying we would get a refund, which we did, but no apologies, excuses….nothing from them or Yellowstone Hiking Guides. Very disappointed and would never recommend them.

I am very sorry to have kept you waiting. We had to cancel due to the windstorm that day. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and the short notice.

Beautiful scenery and amazing canyon views with the waterfall. Aaron was very informative but the pace was way too slow. He stopped the group every 2-3 min and with the cold weather in the morning it was hard to enjoy with our bodies not being able to warm up. The group were all able bodied and it seemed that everyone would have appreciated moving faster. It was more of a slow walk than a hike. Even so, we did thoroughly enjoy the day and we leaned many interesting facts from Aaron. The bag lunch was very fresh and tasty and was enjoyed at Clear Lake which was a nice, peaceful setting. The mud pots were a very interesting part of the tour. We did not see any wildlife on this tour but it was worthwhile to see the Canyon and Yellowstone Rim.
