We did the Upper Loop tour with Emily Jo and it was ourstanding! She has a passion for her work and it shows. She tells interesting stories about Yellowstone history that make the trip enjoyable. In Lamar Valley, she took us through the meadow to get a closer look at a moose that was across the ravine at Soda Butte Creek. We were still a respectful distance away from the moose, but it was a great personal touch. Our lunch involved a short hike to a bluff overlooking the Yellowstone River and it was really a highlight. I can't say enough good things about Emily Jo and the Yellowstone Hiking Guides tour.

We could not have asked for a better time! Josh was an awesome guide and a lot of fun to talk to to boot. He really knows the terrain and animals. We saw a ton of wildlife and absolutely beautiful views. It was even fun quickly diverting from a couple of bison that were in our path... or were we in their path? We would absolutely recommend this company to everyone!

We had a group of 7 ranging from 15YO to 63YO, and everyone had a great time on this hike in June 2019. The weather was unusually cold for June (it even snowed part of the time), but we all wore lots of layers and kept comfortable. Even our teenagers, who didn't used to enjoy outdoor activities, had a great time. Emily Jo was a wonderful guide. She answered all our questions, pointed out animals (plus their spoor and poop!) and points of interest we would never have seen on our own, and adjusted the pace to our interests and abilities. She was toting a spotting scope so we got to see clear views of a grizzly bear on the far slope plus close-ups of many of the other animals. There was short period of uphill hiking, but mostly the terrain was very gentle. Would highly recommend this hike for anyone.
