Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. This is also the staring point for Uncle Tom's Trail. The hike is a 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, through the forest out to Ribbon Lake, and then past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows with big views of the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this is it!

Votre guide expert vous attendra au pavillon à côté de l'aire de stationnement d'Upper Falls à 8 h. C'est aussi le point de départ du sentier de l'oncle Tom. La randonnée est une boucle de 6 miles. La randonnée se déroule le long du Canyon Rim, à travers la forêt jusqu'au lac Ribbon, puis devant un bassin de geyser, le lac Clear et les Wapiti Meadows avec une vue imprenable sur la vallée de Hayden. It was our first time with kids in Yellowstone and we opted to have a half day guided hiking tour to get us a general idea on the wonders of the park. It was very easy to set it up over the phone. Josh and Emily picked us up at the hotel in a large van and headed straight to the park. On the way we have received plenty of instructions and information on the park, wild life and area. Both Josh and Emily are like a walking encyclopedia on all these topics. We were headed to Lamar valley to take a hike. As we got there it was full of bison, we have even experienced being in the middle of the stampede (safely). Josh picked a different longer and a bit more challenging hiking trail along the canyon. It was a blast, seeing signs of bear activity, eventually meeting bear family, ospreys, marmot, prairie dog and more. We were served deli lunch on the cliff with magnificent view. Emily took a lot of pictures which she shared with us afterwards. All of us including 9yo boys had a lot of fun, we saw more wild life in half day then some people will not see for days, we felt safe even knowing that bear momma and her cubs walked nearby. Highly recommend Emily and Josh for short and longer adventures.

I did the 6 hour wilderness hike. It was myself (35), Mom (65), and my son (5). We had a great time, saw a lot of wildlife over morning coffee and Huckleberry muffins and our hike/picnic was very memorable. I've never been able to have a picnic among bison and prognoses....so neat! It was well worth the money. The guides were very nice and knowledgable. Highly recommended.

Emily Jo and Josh are incredible guides! They are familiar with the area and very experienced guides. It was amazing all the hands-on information they could give as we hiked to Firehole River and Lone Star Geyser. Our family learned so much, as this couple obviously enjoy what they are doing and use their background experience and knowledge to allow hikers to partake in a memory-making hike. Our family highly recommends Josh and Emily Jo as guides. The experience was worth it and so was the healthy lunch!
